When I first heard about Margaret’s cookery classes I was delighted with the times they were on (evenings suited me best) and how good value they were. It was right up my street because they are classes that do starters, main courses and desserts…just what I needed. To say I was delighted with the classes is an understatement.
Margaret is so approachable. She completely put me at ease and took the fear out of cooking. She made me realise that a recipe is just a recipe – not a military operation (which previously I would have approached it as!). Hence when she said not to worry if I added more than a teaspoon of something I started to feel more relaxed. She taught me to taste as I go and gain confidence in my own ability rather than purely looking at 6 ingredients in a list.
It may seem simple but it has really given me the confidence to try other things, add more of one ingredient, less of another, taste as I go, etc. I have now cooked Indian and Italian meals from scratch…..If you knew me you would honestly be surprised! 
Six months ago I could do a meat and two veg dinner and I did not possess a spice rack. 
Six months ago I did not have 3 herb plants on my windowsill!
I am thrilled I found Margaret and would say to anyone thinking of booking one of the courses – Just do it! It completely worked for me and has changed my approach to cooking completely. I now stroll around supermarkets looking at ingredients and looking at spices thinking how I can use them …. Well worth every penny.
